OVERVIEW
The package is designed for those who would like to experience in depth the impressive Mekong Delta, from Saigon to Can Tho - the heart of the whole waterway region, to Chau Doc - where you can cross the river border to arrive in Cambodia. You will be able to see the different cultures of the local life along the way. The package will obviously include visiting the colorful floating market in Cai Rang, rowing small boats through beautiful canals and tasting homegrowth tropical fruits. Furthermore, driving deeper to Chau Doc and enjoying the breathtaking view from Sam mountain, visit the floating farm village and board your boat through stunning Tra Su Forest - home to a vast array of wildlife and wetland birds.

Itineraries
Day 1
Saigon to Can Tho
HO CHI MINH CITY TO CAN THO
This morning travel south into the heart of the Mekong Delta. En route, visit a unique Cao Dai Temple and pass farmers working on their fields. Arriving at Cai Be pier, board your boat for your first look at Delta life as you pass traditional house boats and a small floating market. Visit a local coconut candy workshop then continue along the narrow waterways, stopping to admire the impressive architecture of a century-old house. Stop for a local lunch and visit a nursery before disembarking and continuing onto Can Tho. After checking in at your hotel, enjoy a late afternoon walking tour including a visit to the bustling local market and the riverside Central Tourist Market. Finish the day with a cocktail by the river. Lunch included.
Day 2
Can Tho to Chau Doc
CAN THO TO CHAU DOC
Rise early this morning and board your boat for a visit to the fascinating floating market at Cai Rang. See local farmers trading their produce on the water as they have done for centuries. Continue on to a fruit orchard where you can sample some of the tropical fruits grown in this region and try some local tea. Afterwards enjoy a relaxing walk through the local village of Binh Thuy where you will get a real taste of village life along one of the smaller Mekong canals. After lunch drive deeper into Mekong delta to a vibrant border town of Chau Doc situated on the river border of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Day 3
Chau Doc
This morning you will begin the day with a cycle trip around Sam Mountain, ride past paddy fields and picturesque delta homes and enjoy typical rural scenery en route. Afterwards head into Chau Doc and visit the bustling riverside market. After lunch, drive to the stunning Tra Su Forest which covers an area of approximately 850 hectares and is home to a vast array of wildlife and wetland birds. Spend some time enjoying this amazing environment on board a small motor boat and then row through the mangroves spotting some of typical wetland birds that call this conservation area home.
Day 4
Chau Doc to Saigon
CHAU DOC TO HO CHI MINH CITY
This morning is at leisure before departing the eekong for your return drive to Saigon.
