Overview
If you would like to learn more about Vietnamese history and how they fought for their freedom during the Vietnam war then Cu Chi Tunnel is one of the place that shouldn’t be missed out. The tunnels of Cu Chi are an immense network of connecting tunnels located in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh city, and are a part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. Take a speedboat and enjoy the local life along Saigon river before getting the tunnels. Light breakfast and lunch are included.

Itinerary
This morning you will be picked up at your hotel around 7am (the exact time will be advised within 24 hours of departure date) and transferred to the pier for a half day journey west to Cu Chi. You will cruise on board a comfortable speedboat along the Saigon river and surrounding canals. Enjoy a light breakfast with sandwiches, fruits and a Vietnamese coffee as our guide explains rural traditions and aspects of river life.
You will arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels site before the majority of larger bus tours arrive. Watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video to the Cu Chi area before exploring the tunnel site, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunitions etc.), a firing range and much more. The tunnel network stretches over 250km and extends to three levels underground providing you with a remarkable insight into the hardships, courage, determination and terror of a guerrilla war. Try the local cassava root that sustained communist guerrillas’ fighters for years.

Enjoy lunch before you return to Saigon by speedboat around noon.
If you choose to start your journey in the afternoon, you will be picked up at your hotel at 11.00am and dropped off in Saigon at approximately 5.00pm.
